THE EXCELLENCE COMPETITION IN ENGLISH
The 3rd edition (2019 – 2020)
MECC Excellence Competition is a contest in English which is organized by the council every year from 2017 to now. The competition is only between pupils of grammar schools.
The overall objective of this competition is to promote excellence at school all over Mali.
The specific objectives of this competion are :
• Attract the attention of pupils about the importance of English ;
• Cultivate the spirit of competition in pupils ;
• Identify the best students and encourage them in their learning process ;
This year, we did the 3rd edition of the competition. It has been organized in three (3) different steps which are :
- The selection step
- The written test
- The oral test
The laureates of the 3rd edition of MECC excellence competition come from 11 different grammar schools whose 8 grammar schools in Bamako, 2 grammar schools in Kati and 1 grammar school in Baguineda.
We met the 19 laureates of the contest on Sunday 19th of July at Bloc Z on the hill of Badalabougou.
Each laureate has been given the address and contact of his/her reception center.

For the granting of these 19 scholarships which are evaluated to 3.800.000 FCFA, we also do thank them for the support they are providing to us in promoting the English language and excellence in Mali.
