Being the national representation of English clubs in Mali, the activities of the council are mainly academic in term of the promotion of education in Mali in a general sense with a particular stress on the English language which is foreign one in Mali. Let us notice that MECC is a non-profit association,we organize our different whith our own budget and the help of our partners. In addition, the council holds other activities such as cultivating and nourishing leadership spirit in the Malian youth, training young people in communication (oratory). The activities are:
General Assembly
As planed in the action plan of Mali English Clubs Council Executive board to conduct two General Assembly in the year, with all the English Clubs of council. The aims of this general assembly were to gather all the English Club together and present the action plan, to introduce the senators of MECC 2021-2022, and the committee of support.
After the opening speech of the assembly by the chairwoman Tariba Traore, the agenda was introduced by the vice president Aiche Gouname, follow by the check-up of the club English Club present done be by the general Secretary Souleymane Bakayoko.
Time has been given to Every Club representative to briefly to talk about their, Activities, location etc…

Training Programs
We provide English language training programs free of charge to High and Middle School students as well as to professionals throughout practical activities of our English Clubs.
The training sessions of “MECC Training Iniative” have started on saturday, the 28th August, 2021 by the first module which was about “Job Hunting, CV writing, Cover Letter”. The sessions will continue till the end of September.
Leadership Training Workshop
We organize workshop to instill the spirit of civic leadership and consequently develop the skills of our members in other domains which can develop them personally and professionally.
The National contest in English
It is a yearly contest organized among high school students from all over the country. This is to identify the best students, present them gifts (educational quits) and provide them train ing scholarship that we receive from our partner language schools in Mali. This projects not just helps promote education, but it also pushes pupils to invest in their education. The yearning of every school and every pupils leads to that.
Inter-Club Visits
In the framework of strengthening the relationships between Member Clubs of MECC, members of one club pay visit to another club to make acquaintances with their fellows.
The series of the inter-club visits are started some months ago.
Donation Programs
They are organized in sense of civic leadership and voluntarism to make donation of (educational kits) most of times to people who are in need of.
The National Cultural English Clubs Day
This event gathers all the Member Clubs of MECC coming from all around the country to not only celebrate our achievements and reaffirm our commitment to the ideals and values but also to pass strong messages about some of issues that handicap the development of the country.
