Together We Go Farther

N.E.C is an English club in Niamana where members meet every Sunday around a series of scheduled activities so that to develop the four skills of English learning: speaking, listening, reading and writing. It is composed of teachers, student and pupils. Its door is widely open to everyone (young and old) willing to speak English.

N.E.C held its first election on the 23rd of December, 2018 by setting the first executive board and the elected president was Mr Amidou Oulale.

Objectives

  • Promote the English language
  • Provide a favorable networking and learning environment for its members
  • Improve the level of pupils, students and professionals in English and other fields through self-training
  • Better equip its members for the job market.

Place of activities

N.E.C’s activities have started in July, 2018 in Niamana by a group of young people (students, teachers, pupils). The purpose of the club is to promote education with a particular stress on the English language; the club held its first activities at the high school “Bocar Niafo” in Niamana where it did its activities till November 2020. But on April 2021, it moved to the high school “Complexe Scolaire Descartes” to continue its daily activities and it’s still continuing at the same place till now.

Membership condition

If someone wants to be member or takes part to N.E.C activities, there are some rules to be respected:

  • First rule: N.E.C is not only for English speakers, but it’s for everybody who have the same vision like us.
  • Second rule: To be considered as a N.E.C’s member, it’s recommended to pay the membership card (1000 FCFA) and to pay 2 months in advance in the monthly fees which is 500 FCFA per month.
  • Third rule: Every member of the club should be treated equally.

Vision

NEC envisions a Mali where people (mainly young people) could live their dreams of learning and speaking English language easily and freely.
